    durum can be grown on NON irrigated land.
    i understand the need for irrigated dirt...but do you agree with the sask plan for increased irrigation?

      No absolutely not! If farmers want it they can set up a coop and do it on their own maybe get some tax credits or accelerated depreciation.

      as to the durum it is a break between the very high profit veges they grow down there as well. plus they can turn the rain off at harvest to get the high quality they need. SW farmers would have appreciated that this fall.

      AS an aside i do not think that AG was even mentioned in the fed budget, but maybe that is good thing. Staying unnoticed in what was forecast to be an austerity budget!
