Maybe some forest. fires got put out. This useless government doesn’t know how to put them out. The fires put more CO2 into the air than all the buses, trucks and cars but government doesn’t put them out.

              Don’t even mention mud at
harvest! If I have to go through one of them again I am calling it a career. When your combine wheels get like this your done! It won’t move,Just spins and slides and you have no control! Absolutely the most frustrating thing in farming!

We were lucky and fortunate here. Varied between 1.1 to 2” across the farm. No wind in the rain which was a nice change. Wind came after but nothing out of the ordinary. Further east Paynton country I heard ping pong sized hail. This should get pastures going again and help oats and my later seeded canola.

I remember 2020 or 2011 was like that. Combines being pulled out to get the crop. ruts to fill in after.

Neighbours kept seeding into mud only to have a shit crop and wrecked equipment.

Many said the smart thing was to not seed and take the too wet payment , it would have been easier to manage.

I think Canada need a prevent plant system like the states, too wet - don't bother
                  too dry - don't bother.

Or change the crop insurance for individual fields like a hail insurance where you can insure to what you have invested plus some profit.

The risks are great enough with inputs , machinery .

Weather and politics are are greatest potential losses it seems now. Both essentially out of our control at the farm level.
