Yes , it always makes me wonder why they have to put another billion into 90000 acres for irrigation when dryland farmers are getting it done???/

I didn't see a poor crop from Swift Current to Outlook this past weekend. None at all.

Alberta best crop this decade. Interesting. Peace region usually produces I would think at least 1/4 of Alberta’s canola and very dry. My area east of Red Deer, canola and barley have above average potential, wheat will be average. Some nice Oat and pea crops but not much of either grown. Alberta not a bumper where I drive.

I would bet on 19mmt way before 22mmt. Still lots of growing season to go. When is a big wind event going to happen and how ripe will the crop be. More rain through harvest?
Nope, rains came late and crops were in bad shape before hand
I still don’t think anyone realizes how tough the canola is north of highway 16 in general
typically the highest yielding overall region in Sask , not even a question
            Say La Vie I guess

              It's 19.4 mt. I have travelled extensively.
Ask a farmer about yield, not a grain merchant or chem/fertilizer seller. They want to sell more shit or buy cheap products to pay for a crush plant in three years.

I have a question if your canola is just full flower you know that plant needs no frost till mid-September.

A self feeding barbique. Whats the location of that beauty.
I always enjoy looking at old equipment, bridges, anything with rivets.

.....or in a canola crop with very few blanks..... those pods won't fill on fresh air and sunshine alone. We haven't had an abundance of rain here, I don't know where this crop is going to get it's moisture required to meet its full potential if more doesn't fall out of the sky BEFORE it's too LATE! We went into this season with good reserve moisture, but the banked moisture gotta be running low.

How many canola crops will have the bent over pillowy canopy of a good heavy well filled crop instead of the plants standing stick straight?

                  ....boots on the ground.

3-4" total rain in the area N of 16, E of 6 will not make much a crop...had 12" last year.

3/10" in July. Wet harvest coming?

That’s literally everywhere north of hiway 16 in Sask with a few pockets higher and several areas with 1/2 that
