I plant more trees than any liberal I just put in where its needed.
Later crops look very good early not as good and lentils and peas are nice.
Sand ridge first wheat heads are coming out I'm a little surprised.
My question is how will the elevator companies keep the so called sustainable canola separate from the regular canola from elevator to train to ship?

“They won't is the answer.
Farmers wont gain a cent.
This is all done to protect them.?“
absolutely that’s what this is about and it’s about targeting and punishing anyone , farmers, who do no not obey their ideals .
That’s what’s coming
Crops in area are variable from field to field and mile to mile .
That 40 day stretch of wind , very little moisture and a few frosts was the culprit.
In general crops faired ok considering, but now onto the vegetative stage and grain fill .
July will make or break this crop again, hopefully not a repeat of last year .
60% of the crop in this area has the potential to be average, 20% could be good , 20% will not .

I think this is worse than 1988, when you factor in all the facts to farming these days.
And there is still the July heat to deal with.
There is some fall rye that was fully headed by May 24th around here. Heat turned it pretty quick. Looks like its almost ready for preharvest now.Last edited by bucket; Jun 28, 2025, 08:16.

Hate to even add here.
4" in June. Came at last minute. We'll see how cereals set seed. First cut forage literally mowed just to make way for any return cut.
Another weird canola year so far but the 60 mph report shows some potential.
Premium for av fuel
I live 20 miles from a Crush.
It's another company marketing strategy to encourage seller loyalty.
Basis no real difference than competing to export terminals.
Crush stopped reporting their "non program" basis. Actually terminals been sourcing for crush this year.
Also, it's a job to change streams in a crush plant. Equipment has to be purged and cleaned.
Another piece of tp with our signature on it.

Some good rains in areas that were very dry earlier , some areas still too dry and they are crop insurance already
