I dont get it. What have tariffs done to farmers?
i suppose fertilizer is up but its not any worse than usual spring price jumps..
Canola is up big time in the last month. Our basis levels will.improve if our dollar drops.

      Chem pretty stagnant.
i see not much more than regular spring price increases here...

Wouldn’t worry too much yet. Libs keeping Carney from speaking too much, many happy Trudeau is going, and Trump threat. Give it time.

I don't know, I read poll results like this (below) and wonder what planet I am on:

Federal Politics: Carney (widely) and Freeland (narrowly) more trusted to handle Trump than Poilievre

I believe fixation on Trump has guaranteed Carney win. Puking in mouth.

I guess not too surprising considering we voted Trudeau 3 times in a row. It wasn't his support for the green scam or the DEI scam, the moral lapses, the globalist agenda, the covid tyranny, or the population replacement that saw a drop in Liberal support. It was a poorly understood but obvious to everyone destruction of our standard of living that turned the tide.

Now that the Liberals can pretend the economy is all Trump's fault, many are flocking back to the Liberals with the Conservatives being considered Trump allies. Of course most polls are actually push polls that nudge numbers to a desired outcome (ie. Do you believe climate changes? Yes? Then you support banning fossil fuels.) of whoever is paying for the poll. It's to the Liberal's benefit so show rising support.

Regardless of the next election results, I think the 'west' led by Alberta has to play Quebec's game and start flirting with ceding, perhaps even joining USA. The present confederation treats the Maritimes like an Indian reservation (with similar results) and the west like a colony to feed central Canada with wealth. SW BC is its own little fiefdom.
Of course we don't want to join the USA and of course we should try to make Canada work but we need to fight not just acquiesce.

Poilievre will likely be turfed if he doesn't turn this around. I still think Carney is not likeable, as he comes across very pompous/elite.
