Yes, that is in the heart of a few South Africans trying to break in with what seems like an endless supply of money and a few larger guys who have an insatiable appetite for more land. But this is the first I've heard of the million dollar figure.

Sale on CLH today featured a half section at Two Hills bringing $450K for the north and $490K for the south. This land is right along Hwy 29 and there is some fairly nice farmland in that area. Compare with the land that sold last September in the same area and one would have to conclude that economic gravity is hitting land prices.

That does seem cheap for Two Hills.

Last year sale 860k and 900k per quarter but also includes a few bins and "1400sf modern home" though

Anyone familiar with the land? Looks like today's sale was some pretty sandy land

Whoa, everyone has their own definition of reasonable.

1/4 with about 140 ac farmable sold just south of here on RB last wk for $845k.
Good rock free farmland but about 15 acres in a small field.
Higher price than I have heard in this local area.

I knew it would have lots of bidders as it was located near a couple of aggressive young guys with no fear and probably 5 older guys that could buy one quarter out of pocket.

                  Sold to unknown buyer.

                    1.2 - 1.4 M per quarter latest here.
                    East of Camrose.
                    Demand still strong.

If someone offered to sell me land around here for 5000/ac, I'd sell my girlfriend's left kidney on the black market so I could buy as much as possible
