So, on a yearly average Canadian crush, how much money is being "lost" because 1.5 to 2.5% more oil is marketed in the meal instead of as oil?
Why the difference in reults between the Canadian process and the way others do it?
I'd assume the methods would be much the same?
Is there alot more specialty canola pressed? Using less, or no chemicals(solvents) methods that the rest of the canola processing uses?
....a fool can ask more questions than a wise man can answer!

Is the percentage of oil found out by a test of the incoming seed or is it actual yield once crushed.

Anyone ever check specialty CAD canola for the oil content?
For the amount of R&D spent on canola seed, sure getting spanked in oil dept.
And there is this gem: The oil content of Canadian canola meal tends to be relatively high at 3.5% compared with 1–2% oil content in canola meals produced in most other countries. (SCIENCE DIRECT - 2016)
