      Not yet here but close.
We have a new rule here.
Any dollar you can spend on better dessication is not an expense, but an investment in less combine hours.

Did get one quarter done yesterday late in afternoon and it’s dry thanks to a gas dryer not some fly by might GEO thermal million dollar shit show dryer.

Down to last 160 acres and just a bit of dew and frost this morning need sun and wind and we’re good. That’s needed to harvest not provide power.

                Swather desiccates best...ZERO issues.
Neighbors sprayed, waited, dried, bagging....seeded within days or ours.

One Neighbor says no different in yield compared to swath.

                  Oct 14, 2016.
Second snow. Half to go yet.
Binned/bagged at 21 until mid Nov.
Chipped it out end Nov and dried almost till Xmas. Cold bugger.
                  One per career enough.

We've had blown around swaths more than I care to remember.

Straight cut canola definitely bigger seed.

Leaving canola stand is a far better product. But the ac/hr drops to nearly half. So that needs budgeting for. Hence our pursuit of more aggressive dessication techniques.
