The only crop we have that it will be harvested more than 90 days after seeding will be our undesiccated SC canola. Everything else will be between 80-90 days. It's been pushed hard since it was put in the ground

      Same pattern at 2002 here
Drought , then frost on August 17
Simply a 20 year cycle , but to the day is almost spooky
Won’t hear a word anywhere about frost , does not fit the narrative of the world burning up

Talking to local oil well operator this morning. He said checking wells this morning it was white in the low areas. Coldest temperature he ran into was +1.

I took a couple of screen shots earlier this morning:

6am: one -2c… the drier the cooler it can get…

          Blessings

Canola ending stocks even lower than 2021.

Even with adequate rainfall cereal crops here will be averaged at best. Doing yield assessments and looking like wheat will be off by 20% anyways. Oats are terrible to the tune of 50%. Canola I’m cautiously optimistic but asters are present so it will impact yields.

Not hard to see why Oat price just keeps bobing around where it is.

They filled on the price where it is.

Oats just starting to come off here but my bet is 20 to 30% lower yield on a much smaller acres in this area where they look good but not near last yr.

Did a couple quarters of oats today, yields down about 30% from average. Quality looks decent but was tuff slugging thru the damp straw.

Did some oats couple days ago they are light barely 34lbs but will make steer feed. Son has better oats but still green didn't get cooked like mine.
