          Jet stream:

Areas where winter wheat is in bad shape… some have been zeroed out by crop insurance…. Frost could force second growth of tillers?

          Cheers

The frost damage has been priced in already as it can’t do much damage to a crop that is in already bad shape.
But that’s all they can talk about now is the rain coming. Unfortunately, it’s going to miss the bad areas. Even so it’s not going to do much help.
It’s just a way to buy some cheap wheat.

So the big rains have been taken out in winter wheat area ?

“Areas where winter wheat is in bad shape… some have been zeroed out by crop insurance…. Frost could force second growth of tillers?”
Will it matter at this stage ? Just curious, they keep trying to save this winter wheat crop . But the writing on the wall I think , it’s going to be 50-60% below normal no matter the weather from here forward.

Tom4cwb why do you only post USA weather? Stephen Harper invested $134 Mil of our $ into a better forecast system and you copy and paste US weather. Seems weird coming from a big supporter.

I take live pictures from the RFDTV satellite feed… no Other daily commodity/ag forecast programming… RFDTV do forecasts and maps of Canadian prairies… but we have very little impact/effects on daily commodity prices … canola seems to be along for the ride… wheat elevator basis in Canadian prairies a local variable….

Part of the joys of having wheat prices by basis’…off Mini (spring wheat)and Kansas (CPS)exchanges…

                      Cheers
