Bought all my dry fertilizer last fall for a $100 more, better safe than sorry. All fertilizer in the yard now so happy about that, no spring waiting.

You know what they say a bird in the hand is always safer than one overhead.

Urea apparently $855/MT at ADM Lajord now.

Had one dealer tell me he thought $810 was just around the corner. If cad strengthens we could see it based on that alone.

Cdn$ has been range bound 73-75 cents for a long time now. Its important no doubt - every 1/10 of a cent is a buck a tonne but I wouldn't hold my breath for a $45 move either. The closer we get to spring the more important logistics become. I'm not saying any nutrient will be short because I simply don't know what's in position. I think retail and on-farm inventories are lower than they were last year at this time but that's just my own personal WAG.

We're in a ridiculous market where every nutrient is priced as an import regardless of whether it is or isn't. At some point the domestic manufacturers just say "Screw you - this is our price - take it or leave it" based simply on import logistics.

            I am seeing ADM urea
            $840 Jan-Mar
            $850 Apr
            $860 May-Jun
            $805 July-Aug

I have everything I need binned except urea.

                Is this Lajord again?

Now that didn't take long if this is true.

$500T fert will mean $500T canola. Better sell out before that happens.

Good luck paying million dollar combines and tractors with $11 canola.

                  Where will wheat be??

Durum falling like a roller coaster.

Could be a make or break year.

World fertilizer market appears to be a coulda, shoulda, situation.
Big inventory but looking at the big prices in the mirror.
                      Commodities can be humbling.

Don't wait to long but don't get caught making someone else's mistakes yours.
