My Excavator goes almost 3 mph at full throttle high speed. And it isn't exactly quiet.

Can hear it sneaking up for at least a mile. That's 20 minutes of warning that it is sneaking up on their position. What possible scenario do you see that couldn't be ended by an armed police officer long before the machine got remotely close enough to do any damage?

The RCMP did their job and saved lives, and now after all this time you play the "innocent until proven guilty". Very surprising on your part Hamloc, it comes across that you're on the wrong side of the fence.

The RCMP are still investigating as there is someone at the other end of phone calls the four peace-loving protestors were receiving and making during their visit to Coutts.

Protests or not , no democratically elected government should be able to just take land from private hands . That’s something China or North Korea would do .
The “If you don’t play by our rules we will confiscate your land policy” is a communist ideal.
And what’s worrisome is the governments that will continue to move the goal posts to make it near impossible to comply with the 2030 vision going forward.
We need to pay attention to how this unfolds in the Netherlands , because it’s coming here soon.
