Who else had drizzle all afternoon today? Sure not combining weather! Rosy Hasanah starts Sept 25. 🤫

Thought we would get going today but the best test of the day for canola was 12.4, no wind today and no 🌞 until mid afternoon. Tomorrow wind 40k to 60k and mainly sunny, sounds good for combining just hope I'm not chasing swaths. We did manage to swath the last of our oats today and hopefully pick up next week.

Finally got going at about 2:00 not dry yet but 10.9 is good enough in my books. Sure glad I'm not picking up any headlands even your lump still pretty wet. The straw is still tough slugging most of my speed is between 2.4 and 2.8. my daughter is keeping busy running the grain cart.

I was a bit surprised today that with the 40k wind and humidity below 50% the best we got today was 10.5. We quit a hour ago after finishing the field, last load at 10.7. Must feel good to almost be done Caseih congratulations to you, we still have 43% left and forecast still looks good so no worries yet other than bin space but that’s a good problem to have.

Standing canola was testing 10.5 yesterday even after a pretty good couple hours of wind. We waited, go back in later today.

I dont like binning canola over 10 even if its with dry stuff. I guess I am paranoid after 2019. Been blowing it down each night to under 10deg too.

kept lots of canola at 10.5
cables and fans work good if you check them and run them
10 years ago 10.5 was dry
calendar will switch to Oct real soon
