Environment Canada was forecasting 17 here today but only made 12.
Were saying 5 for tonight but took the 5 off to make 0 with frost patches.

Always seem to be close to the monthly average no matter what the extreme is.

Roof tops white here in Regina so the rural must have got a good touch.

Summing up harvest so far is fairly simple, surprise and below expectations.
Peas were under 30 bpa so roughly half of average, hail main culprit.
Barley average mid seventies, so roughly average, hail and dry August hurt the barley.
Wheat average low sixties, so almost average, same as barley hail and dry August. Even the crops without hail damage were less than we thought looking at them. Ergot an issue in some fields as well.
Canola should get to later today. A few guys just starting on canola, will know in a day or two.
Pastures dried up, could use some rain.

Getting a lot of bales from the oat straw we dropped .
18 in the 12 ac patch
Dropped about 180 ac , will know how many bales but looks like a lot this morning

Actually so much straw he was plugging his bailer in places

Manipulator on our oats helped but we still had to bale it.
