That should be very concerning given the world situation as of late

Mb. Looks like it’s getting hit hard
No go. Air seeders sitting. Ground is firm but wet. Not a lot of water standing but it is wet.

Look's like we're getting it again in most of Manitoba. I don't think much has happened in the southern third of the province.

I remember back in 1997 during the flood, the Red River Valley was last to seed and first to harvest that year.

            Things can change fast.

Did they plant different crops, allowing them to get harvesting first?

Besides barley, what crops could be planted so late and still be harvested early?

Or does it come down to being in a area with high CHU's

Canola stubble starting to pull harder already
Yes. Just tied into canola stubble and it’s firmer than usual. Moisture still okay but it’s a tug in the clay. 40 feet and 425 hp and 75% engine load on “level” ground. Wheat and oat stubble in hills will be a load cause cows picking on it right now. Trying to delay turnout on summer pasture till June.

Seedhawk finishing Durum, just in time for predicted 2 inch rain (prolly 3/4 inch). Going around Lake of the railway tracks, hopefully will survive those last few swipes where we get a bit too close.
