They left a lane open everywhere. Could you imagine if someone without a vax pass needed to cross the border for life saving treatment or to take care of a dieing family member. 4 already died trying to get to the US already. There is NO lane open for them.

It's all about emergency vehicles. Can you imagine if a fire started?

This BS about emergecy vehicles is just that. I may be wrong, but as far as I know, police and fire and ambulance don't have authority to cross the border do they? Do RCMP respond to a break an enter on the US side of the border? Do Canadian ambulances routinely go and pick up US citizens to bring back to use out public health care system? Do fire departments on both sides of the border have agreements with their counterparts to help each other out, and to cross the border without delay?

Edit, I just realized that this was posted in the Ottawa blockade thread, not the Coutts thread. The emergency vehicle access is a genuine issue in Ottawa. Probably the only genuine concern in both instances. I will post also this in the other thread where it belongs.
