1990-2020 have been the glory years again. On a climate basis, the rainfall in the critical months has increased and the temperature has decreased
Isn't that what all of the global warming chicken noodles have been telling us what happened?

Precipitation graph sure looks like a half cycle of a sine wave. You don't suppose climate could be cyclical do you?

According to Les's map, my area would be just on the edge between the yellow and the green here in west central Alberta. Which is probably accurate. After having no rain all summer we did get a couple of good shots in the end of August. I didn't think it was enough to affect subsoil moisture but when I did some excavations at about freeze up, I couldn't believe how much moisture was back in the subsoil compared to July when I last had done some digging.
I see woodland is well into the green. That seems surprising, given how dry it was up there this summer. Would you agree with the map for your area?

We’re green and have 7 in since august to freeze up. Lots of snow so will have some sloughs again. Not complaining.

On the edge of yellow and red in Flagstaff Co. I'd say that's about right.

In the red. The map doesn’t speak for here. It never does. Not surprised. We would be solid green.

I think it’s a fair assessment for east of Regina. We had some moisture going into winter from fall and some snow pack.
