The original herman nelson company was rebranded as Frost Fighter. I have one its 350000btus of indirect heat, so in a pinch could be used to heat a living space safely, or for hoarding concrete without raising C02 levels. The fuel tank holds enough diesel for 14hrs of operation. They are quite reliable but in the event their is an issue local rental stores carry all the necessary parts. Used ones are in the $2500 range, new ones more than double that. I also have both the single outlet flange for a single sock or the double flange for dual socks. No replacement for the quality of a frost fighter imo. A key to their longevity is using 10ga extension cords if you anything over 50' away from a plug.

They work great for adding supplemental heat to air bins for drying, but I wouldn’t dare try it below -10c the raining in the bin would be too much.

I have the same setup. In 19 we took all our crop off tough. Worst was over 19 moisture wheat and 16 canola. We ran the heater for 2 months straight, even through -20's C. I would cycle 3000bu grain through a 5000bu bin, rocket air and 7.5 hp fan. 3 days And the wheat would drop 6 points to dry and I'd store it in another air bin and freeze it. Only had 1 load of canola rejected for moisture (1st load) after that I figured out the system. Good God that was a long 2 months but worth the effort.
