What you are talking about is the serious social and mental health and addiction problems that many people are suffering from. Many of them come from abusive and dysfunctional family situations or suffer from mental health issues.
So if we provide those people with more money that will fix that problem?

    Didn't we just try that?
I'm guessing there are record numbers of dependant people.
My guess is double digit increase.

I think some of you guys crying about mother's being in the work force should stop and think how many job vacancies there would be without them in the Canadian work force.

Many on here have stated that businesses can't find reliable worker as it is .

What do you think would happen to the Canadian economy with mother's taken out of the work force?

In which major cities do you think you can find a decent house for less than $300-$400K houses?

Very true . And it’s about to get worse as wealth is stripped away from those who make society run

Maybe the kids should come after the post secondary education and job, not before?

Bullshit bucket not all families who need child care have 500 k homes or expensive lifestyles.

Thats a lame excuse not to invest in daycare and early childhood learning programs.

And if you haven't noticed the price of housing and cost of living has gone up lately for everyone poor or well off.

You gotta love the social conservatives who tell us subsidized childcare and early learning programs are bad but many of their kids went to preschool, kindergarten and public school paid for by taxpayers. LOL

If you social conservative want to take care of your kids at home fine. There is nothing stopping you.

But for a lot of families two incomes are required and wanted, not to mention single parents don't have an option to stay at home if they want a post secondary education or a job.

There is lots of evidence that early childhood education and socialization are good for children.

Kenney agreed with the federal program because the interest and demand from Alberta families was high.

And you "family value" hypocrites sure the hell don't seem to standup for women when posters post hateful misogynistic comments against Freeland. Where are your family values?

Glad u put that up Furrow. My cousin has lived there for 55 years and he said this isn’t the first time this has happened there. He couldn’t remember the year but remembers it being under water. It’s a flood plain. Sometimes it floods. Gonna bugger up our markets for a bit but it’s just the way our infrastructure is set up
