If anyone has an hour to spare, Eric Nuttall on BNN was a great interview. He goes through all the oil and gas stocks he owns and others. Very illustrative.

But hidden in the interview was a little important tidbit. His insiders are saying Trudeaus COP talk was all virtue signal BS for the chuck and greta crowd. The feds need oil to dig out of our fiscal grave and they arent going to do anything drastic against the industry.

Says there is will be an announcement that carbon capture will be the mode of emissions reductions and the govt actually paying oil companies to blow CO2 back into formations.

Not great news for farmers as we get zero recognition for our efforts I guess. But at least one of our major sectors isnt gutted. Maybe we will all have those exhaust capture systems soon.

Predictions are hard. Especially about the future.
So oil demand is back over 100 million bpd. With global flights in 2021 still at half their 2019 level.
People still working from home, conferencing from home, big public events still scaled back or cancelled, 2 more years of growth in the EV and alternative energy markets, 2 more years of divestment in fossil fuels, and pledges by politicians, etc.
What will demand be when we get back to normal?

Good news; Diesel fuel prices appear breaking . . . .

Dec crude broke below $80 per barrel this aft. RBOB gasoline slammed 4.5 percent lower. Broad-based commodity pressure possible overnight (IMO).

Technicals suggest next move toward $77 per barrel suggested by some analysts.

This oil sell-off may give the commodity world and inflation a-shake. We’ll see . . . .

A successful outcome to this protest would be so intersecting to watch.

Quebec and Ontario are the ones with stranded asset risks, not AB. If renewables are pushed through, the US sure as hell wont buy it from Quebec. And if EVs are forced, they sure as hell wont be made in Ontario.

Always be a home for AB energy, if not here then as exported LNG through the US network to the extra 2B people being added to the world in the next 30 yrs.
