We had a family thanksgiving that will not be forgotten. All of our family and a couple of close friends numbered 23 and our shed had activities galore. Our nephew shut down his landscaping and made a jaunt from Saskatoon. Facetime calls to our distant family rounded off the day. The feast was on.

Our families are strong and though the foolishness of the world may make one despondent, our strength can’t waiver. We have youngsters watching and depending on us to make their lives beautiful.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all. 🍀

Giving Thanks that I'm able to live, raise my family and farm in Canada, the greatest country in the world.

        So fortunate.

            Did you swath the barley?
We had to swath ours , the green would just not come out , and since you can not spray malt barley at all we swathed ours again. Watched weather and hit a good window to get er off dry .
Some guys straight cut but most of that went through dryers or into air bins for a month and got it dry and most green out .
One of the few years malt paid decent

looks busy? No spraying in this area, weather stayed DRY, NO green, swathed combined dry , 11-13%, next day.

Was hoping for showers but worst thing they made GREEN, thankful now, 20-20 hindsight.

                Yes swath everything.
                No straight cut headers here.
No green issues in any crop.
In this area malt pays better than wht most yrs.
Larger farms here have not grown wht for yrs.
We need 16.57 for our wht this yr to equal our malt..
