And if not wanting to pay for a bail out for someone that wasted the money from the good years makes me all those names, well I guess that is what i am.

Wow, eh? Guess this is society today. Maybe he does want you to pay for his decisions, I dunno. 😂

I’m a couple years older then you, I own 26 quarters of high quality grain land in mb, not sk. So u can figure net worth, and I rent 0. My winter job I make 75-100k in 4 months I’m home every night. So ya I don’t have to work 2 jobs but I want to. It’s got me to where I am now and I haven’t had a cent handed to me from my family or any kind of government program.

Flea I have a question because I had lots of grain that I decided not to carry over because $24.00 was too good to not cash in. Why didn't you sell and bank the cash?

Also own more land is way better than renting. You have your family's 1/3 to inherit or buy. Buy it early than late if you have siblings.

Yes If you're in a tax problem Buy equipment and use the 100%

            Drought is like flooding.

1st year was fun but by year 15 of continued rain, you get pissed and just want it to be over funny lots prospered why we suffered. Ag Stab does **** all because your margin slowly goes lower so the guy with 5 good years and one wreck gets payment and the guy who slowly is drying up over 5 years gets nothing. A stupid program that never pays.

Now revamp the Crop insurance to bring it from the 1960s to 2022 and there is your program.

The USA is who we compete against and western Canada takes on the USA treasury every year.

In Canada Dairy got 3 billion because they lost 2%.

**** off with I don't need payments for ag.

SNC lavilin laughs at you every day.

Trudeau gives money to a perpetual loser like Bombardier so no we shouldnt feel guilty about supports for a business that creates a million times more GDP. Crop insurance is already a socialized program so we all have the option to pay in and use it when needed.

Nobody should be cocky or spiteful in this business. Farms are started in all sorts of ways. Some levered on top of what was there, some started from scratch but thats becoming increasingly rare and may soon be impossible in the future.

It is important to remember that Protein Industries Canada is helping many companies get a start. So while they are helping them create minuscule demand and those same companies can extract their costs and profits from the protein market.

it seems odd that farmers wouldn't be supported and recognized as part of that value chain, rather than be left out in the cold when SHTF.

Well that is good for you then. Your hard work paid off.

Glad you don’t need the government dole to keep you going.

I didn’t carry over $24.00 grain. I sold my old inventory on this rally and deferred it into 2022. Will be selling this falls crop and deferring into 2023 as soon as I can at these prices. Still harvesting right now.

I guess the prairies should be painted red or orange instead of blue after this last election. Seems most farmers mentality regarding subsidies/handouts in line with their platforms.

The mentality shouldn’t be, well they got a handout, so should I. The mentality should be, how can we save for our future generations. How can we stop the government from pissing it all away.

                      Lmao so *** dense
You ve gotten more subsidy from
Mommy and daddy( the banker) and to come
Across as such a cuunt omg!
                      More mommy and daddy subsidy
Than anybody likely on this forum
From any program. And good for you
                      But don’t be a cuunt. This isn’t
About this issue your still pouting
About getting bashed on the covid
                      Forum. Grow up!

Don’t know your crop insurance but if it’s
Like ours there are farmers subsidizing you
Every year you purchase insurance if you ve had good
                      Weather.
Disaster years should not count in your
                      Average.
You have market price canola guarantee
Is that not correct which would be 20 bucks
Ours here is half of that.
Why should farmers there have that
Advantage? It s federal provincial programs
Or is that just a provincial part there?
We re wanting at least a level playing
Field with Alberta farmers. Market price
Insurance solves the contract problem for
Every farmer in crop insurance not just
Those that had 5 bumpers and now a loss
Through agristability and I should say even
                      Then it’s not guaranteed. Lmao!
