Like Galaxie, I’m also extremely blessed to have had forefathers that worked very hard, were fiscally responsible, and left a legacy of well cared for land. I was very fortunate to have harvested crops this fall that were only 10-15% under average, but with current prices, I’ll do very well.
I hope that the cattlemen will be able to source feed and water for their animals, that farmers hit far harder by heat and drought than myself can find a way to put in the next crop, and that between vaccination and infection, we can finally reach herd immunity so we can put all this Covid crap behind us.
    Stay safe, Rosco.

We have a real issue with drought. You know it is bad when 50 year old spruce start dying.

I noticed a few bluffs that died off here in august just before the rain we did manage to get here
But now back in very dry conditions again

The new tractors longevity will depend on the quality of the plastic around the small diameter wires in their electronics, time and replacement cost is the enemy of plastic.
It different with highway trucks, salt and miles put them out of their misery earlier than farm tractors.

Sad to hear, hopefully it's not part of the shelterbelt.

Thats interesting. Today in our public school system my kids are being taught they are violent colonizers and oppressors and supported genocide and that our religion is inherently evil.

A friend near Riceton is hauling water from the municipal well for his evergreens. We need a week-long soaker.

Start the combines I found another couple thousand acres to harvest.

                    Were moving north.

Ok, we always go north it's ready so harvest 2021 continues.

I love combining so let's roll.
