3.5" yesterday in southwest Manitoba. Wheat harvest was in full swing. Good for the pastures and fall work though.

Grow any Meadow grasses or Fescues?
What grows in fall?
All grasses love the rain, and there should be good regrowth with the good amount of rain that most of MB received yesterday and with what is still coming.
There is plenty of growing season left this summer and early fall. Grasses do grow long into the season with proper moisture.
Don't know where you live but a good forage retailer would know exactly what pasture or hay mixture would be best suited for you area.Last edited by foragefarmer; Aug 21, 2021, 08:39.

Virden area, looked to be under a very slow moving cell, wouldn't doubt they received multiple inches.
We were away from the periphery, but still managed to get 14mm, happy for anything.
