Are you against facts because they don't suit your purpose? You should vote for Mad Max he is your kind of guy. Never let facts get in the way of your beliefs. Directed to sfb.

Have any of you taken the time to actually read the platforms of each of the parties? They are online.

And since Chuck asked what you like or dislike about O'Toole and so many of you are praising his policies I have a question. A major promise O'Toole made a number of times and one that is in the Conservative platform is that his government will build 1 million affordable houses in the next 3 years. Does anyone else have trouble with this promise?

Consider that in all of Canada about 250 thousand homes are constructed each year and in the last 25 years only one time has a third of a million homes been built. Yet the Conservatives pledge to build this many affordable homes 3 years in a row. Where are they going to find the skilled workers to build a million homes in 3 years? I suspect some builders and trades persons will want to continue building their own homes instead of become employees of the government for 3 years. And what will this do to the price of building suppliers on top of labor costs? I hope no one on the list has building plans in the next few years if the Conservatives win. Most importantly, what does it cost to build an affordable home, or convert a federal owned office building into homes? If it is $100,000. per unit, to build 1 million homes in 3 years would total $100billion dollars. So much for solving the deficieit crisis. Oh, the promise sounds great in principle, but the lack of planning is on the same scale as ending the wheat board and changing ag stability. No planning + no costing,= planned failure. The same as every other platform policy in the Conservative Recovery Plan. Nothing is cost or budgeted. Just a lot of high ideals and empty promises

Speaking of ag, I again urge everyone to read the platform and see just how little is of any value to a grain farmer. Oh, but supply managed producers are well taken care of again.

CBC is probably looking through his childhood yr books for some dirt. 10 yrs military, 10 yrs lawyer and 10 yrs in politics is a very good resume. Canada has neer had someone who served in the military as PM. Thats a great start to getting this country back on track.

He also took those lib wedge issues and turned them right back on the media and Trudeau. Nicely done.

I guess Trudeau will have to trot out Biden and Obama for an endorsement next. You can bet the racism card is coming soon too.

And for the record, I hope Otool meant the deficit, not the debt. Canada debt can never be discharged now after 6yrs of Trudeau.
I see Jazz is rewriting history again claiming Canada has never had a PM that served in the military. John A McDonald was a private in the militia that fought in the Upper Canada Rebellion. Bowel was a Lt Colonel in the militia and served on the border during the American Civil war. John Diefenbaker served in Britain during WW1. And the PM with the most military service was Lester Pearson who served in Greece and Egypt and also flew as a pilot for 3 years in Britain in WW1. Even PE Trudeau served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 2 years as an officer cadet but never called into an actual war just as O'Toole never was in a battle situation unlike the 4 PMs mentioned above.

O'Toole loves to claim he served 12 years in the Canadian forces, but provides very little detail of what he did. However a little research shows the first 4 years were as a student at the Royal Military College. Then he actually served full time as a Search and Rescue Tech and later as a navigator aboard search and rescue ships and helicopters off the east coast of Canada. And the last 3 years of his military service was as a reservist while getting his law degree. His one and only decoration is a 12 year service ribbon, even though only 5 of those years were in fact full time service.

How come no one on this site is calling out O'Toole's embellishment of his service record on this site? You have no problem calling out Trudeau - saying he has never worked a day in his life, or that he was only a drama teacher when in fact he also taught math and French in schools between 1998 and 2002 almost as long as O'toole actually was a full time service member.

Ohtool believes in human caused climate change, has a carbon tax and is planning on lowering carbon emissions through more government intervention and regulation. On the surface it is a weaker plan than the Liberals, but it will still have an impact on the oil industry.

Ohtool still plans on deficits well into the future. He is pro choice and supportive of LGBQT2S and inclusive. He is socially progressive on a lot of issues compared with Scheer and Harper. He was generally considered a progressive conservative.

Ohtool is moving the Cons into the middle and moving away from the rural western base of voters.

    That works for you?

    1) He worked for a living ( imagine that)

    2) He was in the military , did his part for our country , not a bad credential in my books.

    3) He has done something other than live off of a trust fund and play on the weak minded in this country for support.

Take a look at Justin , has he really contributed anything to Canada or Canadians , other than debt , and stupidity?

If you can actually defend Trudeau about anything , then you sir, are part of the problem this country has had for the last 5 years.

Justin Trudeau is the living example of what happens when you put incompetent and very uneducated people in the position of power. I have seen this from the local RM level ( I was a councilor for 10 years) all the way up to town , city , provincial ,and federal levels. Have you watched the news at all in the last while?

Our Conservative leader has made the statement that he want to have the federal debt paid off in 10 years. What in the hell has Trudeau done? He has made the profound statement that " monetary policy" isn't something he is thinking about right now!

Has he ever thought about who is going to pay the bills?
Remember , this asshole made the statement " the budget will balance itself"

He doesn't know nothing about anything , but his buddy Gerald Butts is the guy we should be worried about. That snake in the grass hates the west and western resource development , and wants it to go the way of the dodo bird.

    Galaxie 500
    Come chuck
He answered your question rather well
What do you like about that numbnutted snake

Or teach grade 4 science class about carbon sink and who contributes and who uses instead of telling them they will see the end of the world because dad drives a pickup for work.

Give credit to Saskatchewan for the carbon sequestration of coal power plants, and promote it as a solution to China's carbon and pollution problem. Move quickly to adapt small nuclear plants for Canada. Enforce strict rules for disposing waste from solar panels and unrecyclable parts from windmills.

I still think the greatest thing Tool could do to bust the carbon tax would be to make it a visible tax, where at each step of manufacturing, delivery, retail, the accumulated taxes are there for consumers to see on their purchases, much like GST is visible.
It wouldn't take long for people to get off this woke,,, I'm saving the planet,,, mind set. They would be more concerned about saving their families and the household budget.

Here is a hint at the answer. If you burn lots of carbon rich fossil fuels and alter landscapes from their original carbon cycle equilibrium, carbon emissions go up.

Add in the loss of perma frost that release large amounts of methane and the increasing number of boreal forest fires that release massive amounts of carbon, what do you get? Canada is a large contributor to greenhouse gasses.

Otherwise why would Ohtool bother having a carbon tax or regulate emissions lower?
The tool is sucking up and trying to gain votes from alarmists like yourself. It’s about his perceived vote net return. And that is why I can’t support this guy. He is a liberal.
