Seems odd that any rational person would defend the Liberal’s every move, without being on the government teat?

The problem is not that some people do not have a choice, it is that some people have given choosing and instead are foot soldiers for one party. I used to be like that when a PC party member, but the party left me - I did not leave it and have been happier since. I used to be one like most on here that would have voted for a cardboard cutout, or a dead candidate, as long as it had a big blue C behind the name on the ballot. Then I had no choice.

But I came to realize as a western Canadian my vote had no value when it was taken for granted that I would vote Conservative no matter who they ran. So now I vote for whoever I think will be the best person to represent my views in Ottawa. I vote for the person who is actually interested in the people in their riding and not just in it for themselves and the gold plated pension. I vote for someone who can think for themselves and not just toe the party line.

I wish there was a true independent with no party affiliations running in my riding. Not saying they would be the best person or that that is who I would automatically vote for by any means, but would certainly get consideration.

As far as voting for Trudeau, the only persons that can do that in Canada are those living in the Papineau riding and I doubt there are many of those on this forum. So voting for a Liberal canadidate is not a vote for Trudeau unless that candidate is as much an A-- kisser for Trudeau as many Conservative candidates are for O'toole or any other party leader

So furrow, I am not some Liberal foot soldier unlike you as a Conservative mouth piece. I am no longer tied to any party; only the person I deem best for my riding. I vote for someone and something, not against something!
Wrong , I have done the same . Called out the PC’s and some in Bras Walls saskparty
I am with you on the independent thing

Just seems odd you defend the complete incompetence of this liberal party at every turn , maybe wrong assumption, much like the conservative mouthpiece assumption I guess

Looking at the platforms of all the national parties I see very little mention of agriculture. One thing that has been proven is that a backbencher MP has no influence over party policy, it all comes down from above from the PMO and the MP brings that message back to the constituency to sell to the voters. Myself, I look at various realities when I vote. I look at party policy, certainly the candidate but also the implications. As an example the Maverick party certainly has some policies that appeal to me. The 3 main parties are only interested in increasing the size, scope and cost of government. It really quite disappointing. The Conservatives are somewhat better than the Liberals and NDP but not a lot. Quite a conundrum.

Slight correction: Liberals routinely say dumb things. The difference now is that the quantity and quality of dumbness on display has progressed to such a point that even our bought and paid for media occasionally mentions it.

The real burning question for Canadians should be: where the hell is Sophie? And even more importantly, what exactly did it cost Canadians to have her entitled ass paraded to the GG's house for the election call?

Oh it was a "cultural term", they said.

Monsef the Iranian, you might remember, fraudulently applied for Canadian citizenship by falsely claiming to be of Afgan birth.

It worked. She's a Member of Parliament.

It appears that she has good reason to call the Taliban terrorists her brothers, but don't sling that term too broadly...

This has not gone unnoticed even by the MSM.

    What is "Taqiyya"?
Only the CBC did not cover this story. CTV, Global, even the Toronto Star reported on this but not the CBC, certainly telling!!

In California they have an upcoming vote on a recall of thier very left wing governor.
They expect it to be very close to a recall.
The problem for the progressives is the don't have Trump for a lightning rod to bring out the vote. They can't get any urgency as most think the battle is over.
Have to wonder if that might be an issue here. Trump for sure polarized the voters. You can still see it here pn Agriville.
Might mean a couple of percentage points if there is general apathy in some of the left that were inspired to turn out last time but don't see a big deal about this one?
