Bins are going to be empty that is a true fact.

Farmers are caught in a vicious circle.

The seed sellers are also your buyers so they can make on every thing you produce.

Watch Stats Canada will come to the rescue.

24 million seeded acres huge crop on its way after the 27th of april.

Also who ever believed the Canola council we need 30 million acres or whatever it was all designed to buy canola from farmers for 9 for life.

Wake up farmers we are being played.

I would say it’s a wake up call for the industry for fudging stocks as long as they did and saying there will be record crops year after year after year.
It’s their job to buy as cheap as possible but they finally got caught .
Predictions of huge crops before seeding reminds me of predictions of an ice free Arctic by 2020 ... oh wait .. it’s 2021
It all needs to be taken with a grain of salt , but when false predictions cost farmers money is lower crop values or higher than necessary carbon tax’s it a problem.
But it’s always finger pointing and excuses after the fact with zero accountability to lost revenue for us.
Agree partners , lets just hope for an average crop and see where the chips fall now . Prices are decent but will need a crop to capitalize. Until that happens , high crop prices mean little other than increased costs in the meantime.

My crop tour is extensive enough and covers sask fairly well. It’s more than 120 km and odd piss break. Plus I grow canola and have on our farm since early 70s. We have seen shit, awesome, hailed, drought flood. Plus awesome and ****ing awesome.

In a office or satellite or my farmers tell me this from the tractor with GPS is bullshit. Also 8 weeks zero rain and heat during flowering and windy doesn’t make for big yields.

Anyone think Neil Townsend could explain a record canola crop last year and 60000 tonnes being brought into Canada this year?

Traders say they have never seen a trade like this on canola.

I sometimes wonder if a sales reporting program wouldn't help the graincos avoid this as well..
