Am I missing something or are the free marketers on agriville now calling for government intervention in the pharmaceutical and vaccine market?
You are missing so much it is absolutely amazing to the rest of us that you are oblivious to it

Oh oh......if Liberal Party booster Warren Kinsella is correct we are in trouble in Canada.
Americans and Britons will start getting the vaccine next month. Canadians? “Next Fall.”

Will Toronto, Ottawa and Maritimes finally wake up?

Glad to see you are on board to get
    Vaccine production back in Canada.
Problem is we gave up sovereignty needed to do
    Something like that
In the free trade agreements .

Hand everything to the private sector and
Have it fizzle away or go out of the country.
Big pharma knows what's best for us.
That was all the rage, remember , privatize, no government in seed breeders or drug makers. Etc.
Remember the Fram oil filter commercials.
You can pay me now or you can pay me later.
    I guess we picked later.

This is the result , so wait in line and pay up.
You got what you voted for.

[QUOTE=sawfly1;476314]Nice to see Oliver and others wanting
To maintain vaccine and other production in this
Country. I just wonder where you were when they were
    When they were being
Sold to the highest bidder, privatised.
the conservatives and even sometimes liberals were not having any if that socialist nonsense .
Just like with the seed ownership issue, you have no one to blame , but yourselves,
You voted for it. Don't come crying to me.[/QUOTE

In Canada, the association now known as Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D), founded in 1914, represents more than 50 brand-name companies, of which the large majority are subsidiaries of foreign multinationals.
trudope wants you to think there are no companies in canada
just think what he could of done with the UN seat bribery money that brought SFA
also the money sent to vaccine manufacturing companies so even Mx could get it 9 months before us

Trudeau says most Canadians will have a vaccine by next fall, probably September.

I did read an article that a pharmaceutical company in Quebec can produce the vaccine, they have the ability to make a half billion doses in a year, so in a month they could make enough for all of Canada.

I can’t see myself pulling up my sleeve for it, I have a doctor and a few nurses in my immediate family, I’m sure we could have a healthy discussion at the Christmas dinner table, but it sounds like a normal Christmas is canceled.

Why would we snitch on neighbours? I doubt the government is going to pull you out of that soft spot next spring, or have a coffee with you when you’re having a tough day, give that extra bag of seed so you can finish seeding today, come over with a combine and crew to finish your harvest before winter........
IMHO, this is the most profound analysis to date.

This thread has proven quite interesting.

Sockboy appears to be blaming past PM’s for his blunders, hopefully Sir John A MacDonald doesn’t get any blame.😂 Typical coward is never accountable for his actions. Trudeau and crew are not smart of to negotiate our country being near the front of the line when sending $billions to private companies.
It has been noted on CTV that the National Research Council has the ability to manufacture the AstraZeneca vaccine. Trudeau has toured this facility recently and was told this. Australia and India are already making this vaccine which we could be as well so we have a decent supply when it’s approved.

But Trudeau is more focused on socks, Netflix, climate alarmism and great resets.
