Why don't you just come clean and admit you were scammed by the climate cult and green hoax just like everyone.

Your precious govt is shutting down this industry in first world countries where it keeps our standard of living very high and replacing it with flawed green technology and exporting the investment and jobs to 3rd world country's, just like all the globalization Marxist scams.

Stand up and be honest with your self.

The oil patch has always criticized red tape and regulations.

Considering the billions of dollars of liabilities tied up in suspended, abandoned and orphaned wells in western Canada, we needed more regulations to ensure oil companies don't get to walk away from their liabilities and responsibilities for cleaning up these sites!

North Dakota has stricter regulations on this issue.

That’s about the only good point you have ever made
Problem is now that is has gone overboard too far and killing the industry
It should have been in place 15 years ago when they were making money . Now it’s like forcing farmers on this seed issue . When the money is not there it can destroy an industry.
But you are correct on abandon well sites , most of the companies just walked away and left landowners with a financial mess . Not in oil country here , although not far away
I am a big fan of those steam plants though from what I see . Very efficient and low footprint activity for the production the achieve

Rumer has it that Kenney is trying to sell off and close Prov Parks in Alberta so China can mine coal here. Any truth to that?

Its the world price of oil, the US fracking boom and a change in market demand that has hurt the oil patch.

The regulations and red tape is a small part of their problems. The drop in prices and hurt started in 2014 when Harper was Prime Minister. But keep perpetuating the myth that it is the Liberals. LOL

Canada has got 2 pipelines going on one completed in Canada (line 3) and one under construction ( TMX) since Trudeau purchased TMX

Our electrical requirements for this country could easily be fulfilled by fossil fuels and newer technology to be clean burning....even coal...why we waste time on other subsidized sources is beyond me...

Clean safe and providing more than the base load while using our resources makes more sense....eventually people will realize this...

Every green system has to be backed by good old conventional power....

And if people were serious about green...there would be a whole lot more hydro dams on the saskatchewan river systems...
