This is where business, labor, the government and the general public are going to have to do some real soul searching if there is to be a repatriation of manufacturing. Will unions realize that maybe they have to not ask for so much, will business realize that they have to meet some of the union asks, will the government get rid of some regulations so that it is not so costly to have new start ups and will the general public, farmers included, realize that we need to pay a little extra to have a stable supply of made in Canada products. Maybe this is too much to ask of anyone who will be hit with a heavy tax burden after all this bat flu is over.
