Good discussion boys and one that needs to happen on a national level.
The way I see it is we need a good mix of people from the private sector, along with a couple current federal mp’s to be the contact between the task force and current administration, as well as a few past political leaders who understand how govt works and have experience. They must be willing to work together and not allow politics to interfere. The government needs to take the recommendations and act on them immediately and not play politics!!
I can not emphasize the following point enough!! The current federal and provincial governments need to do their job instead of trying to keep their job!! please do what is right and not what is popular or what you think will get you re elected!

For something like this to work efficiently you need high level business people and leaders and few politicians.
As shown already on here by a few , phuck all would get accomplished with the pissing and moaning about a politicians past .
This needs a common sense hands on approach. It will be critical to get it done right or we will all be screwed.

The scheme accounted for $837,000 of defrauded government funds.[15] Of these a handful were acquitted while some served prison time.[16][17]
Usually i just sit quiet and follow the debates on here if you could call them that especially when you are involved. You never ever have any reasoned input except to spew bullshit. Just **** off already your ****ing wheat board glory days are over and done. Get a grip on reality. Sorry to the rest of you on here for the outburst but enough is enough.I'm guessing i won't be on here much longer anyway.

[QUOTE=chuckChuck;447724]I wouldn't let most of you guys make a grocery list let alone a list of who should be on an economic task force.

The obvious question for you Chuck2 is this, you obviously have no use for most of the posters on this site so why do you continue posting?!?!

My biggest concern is if they can't effectively kick start the economy, probably with more "stimulus", who and what businesses/industries will be left standing to pay for all the money they will be handing out like it's free and accruing debt like its meaningless.

Thats what kinda got us to this "inevitable" position to start with, its just that Covid-19 was the catalyst and accelerant that brought it on quicker, albeit magnified the problem much worse. They're treating the meth addict with more meth. Let it burn to the ground?

How many businesses won't survive, how many will say screw it and just not re-open? How many personal bankruptcies will there be? ....all before this is all over! IMO, this is only the beginning. There may be a new younger generation that will develop the "depression mentality". Their great-grand and grandparents that had it ingrained into their lives might be dead now, but I think the old lesson is about to be taught again.

Good luck everyone, stay safe and take care. There is no "I" in team. We're all in this together.

I recently contacted another person who was regular here, they had enough, why does it always have to come to this? Name calling, people leaving, intolerance, narrow and closed mindedness. Really already....

                      Very few farming discussions anymore...

Hard to have a forum with only like minded people patting each other on the back, head nodding in agreement on every issue. There seems to such a lack of respect and tolerance.

I'm not taking sides and I've done my fair share of political attacking of governments, but everyone should be entitled to their opinions. A group of forum posters can't even civilly have a discussion about the solutions to the crisis, I hope Government "Committees" aren't this bloody dysfunctional.

Ok, now you can get back at it!
