Wearing mask does not protect you necessarily, but it may help protected others from you. I think scientists like Tam have good intentions but have fallen into the trap of not trusting you or I to do the right thing. They are worried people will suck up masks used for essential workers. We need to increase supply of surgical masks for everybody.

Since something like 48% of us are carriers and we don’t even know, I think I will assume I am one of, “them” and wear the N95 mask, spray it with alcohol when I come home. Gallon jug of iso alcohol, Clorox Wipes, Lysol Wipes, Javex in my dish water, 4 big jugs of rum, gin, vodka and wine, silver ionizers at the table, cases of Tonic Water stacked against the wall. Think I got it covered? I’m not scared at all 🦍

How could it hurt to wear a mask other than u look stupid unless u just crawled out of a bin. Honestly don’t think any of these so called experts have a god damn clue what is right or wrong or how many will get it or die. What’s gonna happen will happen. Just gotta do our best to keep it on a slow pace

But here's the thing, 70% of the population needs to get it over the next 12 months or so for enough herd immunity without overwhelming the medical system - if everything goes perfect, no vaccine for 18 months. Many of us will find out if Covid19 will kill us in the next year or so.

If they can find a workable anti-viral, then great. but nothing confirmed yet.

Stuff they don't say on the news.

15444, perhaps you can spend some time volunteering to clean hospital rooms of covid after the patient expires if no big deal. I'm sure they could use the help and time off to rest. Or just volunteer to move patients, move medical waste. You don't even need a mask.

You aren't thinking wd9. You have let this worm into your head and now you are a full blown Cassandra.

Let me tell you what the impacts are. Now with this hysteria doctors are doing phone calls for regular checkups, no in person, just a chat on the phone. All blood and urine testing is suspended. Elective surgeries cancelled and its now a year wait to see any specialist in Sk. Dynacare labs has closed and is no longer doing regular blood and urine testing. Its my wifes time for pap smear and other testing and my MIL for mammogram and pap. All have been put off indefinitely.

How many conditions are going to be missed by this? Cancer diagnosis, urgent surgeries missed, medications that need to be adjusted, people avoiding the emergency room because of covid, not venturing out of their house to get care, etc.

Already divorce and domestic abuse have gone up. I suspect addictions and overdoes are next, suicides later.

Do you understand the cumulative effects of the measures we have taken.

You should tell the kids to go away, and then use some of the ideas you heard them talk about and call it your own...
