When I was first old enough to go in bar there used to be ageing World War Two vets who sometimes sang the song
“We drink beer with the god damn Dutch,
the Amsterdam Dutch and the Rotterdam Dutch,
now the god damn Dutch are not so much
But we still drink with the god damn Dutch”

Always wondered if it came from Canada troops stationed in Holland or if it went back to years before that.
Fortunately died out and have not heard it in recent years.

Yes i am against peace keeping. Its just hopping from foot to foot and not doing anything.


Most conflicts there is a good side and a bad side. Join the good side and fight as hard as you can! If you don't know which side is good then stay home!

If only it were just about humanitarian aid and peacekeeping.
It is obviously more than that today.
And is hamhanded in those at best.
What cost to us for what effective return?
