Just thinking, if the world got togeather and said everyone stock up on provisions and enforce a world wide quarantine, stay at home for 2 weeks or until you have no further sickness. Could we not purge all colds / flus off the earth. Even in 2 stages or shifts to ensure the basic services / hospitals keep operating.

I bought over $700 worth of drygoods three weeks ago. Javex and soap and paper towels, tissues. Etc. ans Aso have three freezers full of food. Garden stuff and meat. And garden seeds.

I agree there should be an orderly method of stocking up supplies
