    Globalization may be dead for the U.S., but not for the rest of the world. Major Asian trade deal has been signed. If you think you can remain a super power without trade and innovation from abroad . . . Go for it. The market will decide who’s right, not politicians.

      If the rest of the world thinks they can make it without the American consumer, dollar, financing and protecting energy and shipping lanes with their air craft carriers they should go for it.

      200m US consumers have more wealth and disposable income than 2B Chinese and East Indians. They have a long way to go. Meanwhile fighting a demographic and debt bomb.

        What happened when the U.S. cut off materials to Japan? If you push a rat into a corner, one with nuclear weapons, what could go wrong? China should be reigned in but in a way we can all live with.

          What's your point?

          Wasn't that when the USA became the superpower and Europe and UK lost all their empires?

          Maybe I have my history wrong?

          Japan changed a little bit too.
