Been raining steady here all night, currently trying to decide between rain or snow. The 1.5" prediction on YR is holding. Would put us at 7" for the month.

Combined DRY 9.0 canola till 3 am. Still NO dew ATM, neighbor firing up on canola. We definitely have never been southern prairies, we get SHIT weather that never is even reported. This time we want to stay the COLD DRY N air.
      Combining caseih?

Combined dry mustard till just after dark.

Then went on dry, but tough strawed pea low spots till I slugged the rotor when it started to flurry last night.

Supposed to snow here for 36hrs... wet snow with a stiff wind is going to make for a friggin nightmare when we get back at it.

        "Living the Dream!" Indeed...

I'm busy installing the optional rain gauge heater in our Davis weather station so I know the water equivelant measurement of the falling snow. That way I'll know how dry this snow actually is.

Total accumulation of rain since Thursday in Regina rain gauge - still less than 1/2 inch. Looks really wet and snow flkes falling lightly here.

Well now I experienced something I never have before. It thundered during a snow storm.

There was an October snow the weekend of our local rodeo back in the 90s....you could see the lightning and hear the thunder ....10 inches overnight... broken trees ...

Not sure if that snow left ...
