I would start with the catch and release system we have in place here

And if you get time, you could perhaps look up the statistics on gun crimes in Canada by race. The examples you provided may be the most newsworthy, but they are a drop in the bucket compared to the daily gun crimes (gang related) that only become statistics, not national headlines.

There is different levels of weapons.assualt weapons are closer to hand gernades as far as a weapon than the type of guns used around a farm for deer hunting or gopher control.it is obvious that hand gernades should never be legal to buy yet for some strange reason people think an automatic weapon is a citizens right to own.

Ask the people in London about the knife incidents . Or the innocent working people in Baltimore about gun bans .
If your not going to get tough on criminals.. the source of the problems, it won’t matter what weapons they use .... think about the vehicles used in run downs in Toronto or in Belgium, on innocent people , get extremely tough on the criminals in society, not the innocent that have the right to protect themselves..
