Not sure how the straight cut canola is going to turn out here for some . A lot of very uneven stands with green areas. The green not changing. Same with some cereals . Cool weather now and short days . Will be interesting

Some are real die hards on the straight cut. They would rather lose a grade on durum leaving it standing and waiting than put it down. I think I can still pull a 1 out but another rain on this stuff and she will fall 2 grades.

Got 3 days of combining in a row , first time since we started back in August . Rains coming again from SW
May be last nail in the cereal coffin here. Was still ok , but lots in area not already. A lot of frozen crop showing up north and east.
Not going to be a good year at all again, especially with terrible prices .

The spray guys who do every acre are further behind than me. We only swath really canola as it goes through a combine like shit through a goose in October. Were planning for October. Not August or Sept. Its going to get real interesting in October.

FYI, AUGUST IS OVER, unless your referring to August 2020
SEPTEMBER is basically 3/4 over.
Better focus on OCTOBER and may be the early part of NOVEMBER.

Inquire about renting/leasing some more combines if you can find enough asses to fill the seats and enough capacity to get the grain away from them and keep them moving. A standing combine isn't contributing to harvest progress.

The geese around here live in Wascana park. They fly right over us and sit in the city all spring and fall.

The 2 inch rain didn't make it better for swaths around here....they still sprouted....soaked it right up over 4 days...

Saskatchewan farmers lost close to 500 million if not more with that rain....those numbers don't get reported...

There are 2 more hurricanes coming on shore in the US. I think oct is going to be one fd month.
