They didn’t have many in fact maybe someone could list some that were designed for the producer as apposed to the agribusiness sector up the ladder?Originally posted by farmaholic View PostTheir policies all weren't bad, they were just implemented poorly.

Watch out for the SeedCo seed tax under a Conservative government!
 Destroyed stability program
 Destroyed grain commission
Got rid of cwb. Initially that’s a good thing but all 3 of these put the power in the rail and grain co hands we were supposed to benefit even monetarily for this but the grain cos and railways have legally stolen those benefits from us.
We’re paying storage and increased transportation costs not to mention the grading disaster gong show.

[QUOTE=bucket;420991]Its called blinded by ideology .....thats conservative voting in my riding....if that makes sense...great grandad, grandad, and daddy voted conservative....so god damn it I vote conservative....even if it means losing the farm....[/QUOTE

Not trying to cause a war, but who are we supposed to vote for then? NDP? The liberals have proven that they could give a rats a$$ about the west and by association, farmers. I don't think Jagmeet will do any good for farmers, do you?

Maybe one of the separatist parties?

Maybe Mad Max's party just to send a message....

Sadly in our riding it's just a former conservative flunkie moved over to the PPC....

But still a message like when the reform party showed up...

Scheer is an eastern transplant to the west....not much of a gift really.

That may be true...but the american farmer isn't losing with at least something to make up for the losses...Originally posted by agstar77 View PostNew Chinese tariffs on 75 B of U.S. imports. Nobody wins trade wars . Trump is too stupid to understand this.

The whole problem is guys that say " send it to China to be made " .... that where the issue starts in the loss of productivity of your own nation....it begins the race to the bottom...

What I see Trump trying to do is bring that manufacturing base back to the US...

How else would you do it?

It has to be made affordable to produce goods in one's country ...not just send it to child labour countries or cheap labour with a government like China that will invest in itself to make it a more productive country...

Its pretty hard to accuse China of stealing anything when they are asked to produce it....

Blame the billionaires that send it to China instead of making it in the US or Canada...

They send vehicles to be made in Mexico and they are still approaching 100,000 dollars for a dodge 2500....nothing under 70k...

The computers in those trucks are not worth the extra that vehicles have gone up in price...and there is nothing really new about the frame and fenders...other than less steel...

Vehicles that cost 4 times more than my first quarter of land ...thats just stupid...
