Scheer claims its an assault on farmers? huh? Which farmers?

Pulse protein processors are building several new plants which will give us a great market to sell to. So pea farmers should be happy about new markets.

Scheer gave his kid the equivalent sugar of a Mars chocolate bar because he was a picky eater? Perhaps Scheer couldn't stand to see his kid cry for a bit? Most parents can figure out how to handle a picky eater without handing them sugary drinks.

Perhaps Scheer needs how learn how to handle the dairy industry? Instead of repeating their speaking notes, try coming up with a balanced approach. The dairy industry has it pretty good already with their supply management protection from the market. But they shouldn't get to write the Canada food guide!

Humans must be nearly the only species that drinks another species milk well past infancy.

Sure hasn't seemed to slow down the proliferation of the human species.

Turning milk into something unhealthy by adding more refined sugar maybe isn't the wisest thing.

I can't handle near the amount of sugar I could when I was younger, I guess I don't need that unhealthy energy any more.

Sorry Hamloc I wrongly attributed your post to Woodland. Fair enough on seasonality but to treat natural and refined sugar as the same is crazy. I'm amazed how bad dietary advice GPs give out - I used to argue with mine in AB - he was still of the opinion all fat was bad regardless the source.

Here is an explanation on natural versus refined sugar.

Go Keto, it will change your life.
Scheer is a disappointment but is the only hope at the moment. I prefer Bernier’s policies but doesn’t look like he has a chance this go around.
