Glyphosate is in the soil. Does tie up nutrients and causes diseases in plants
Our farm trials have been showing improved results year after year benefits
of spraying less glyphos using more humates to combat the glyphosate.
Fields we ve been doing this on for
over 5 years have seen a 5 to 7 bushel advantage in canola yield. This was a pain in the ass to do for that long on a field but we divided fields up half and half and did the same routines no preseed glyphosate or dessicant on one side and did it on the other. On amither comparison sprayed with glyphosate and did not add humates compared to adding humates. Not scientific and parts per million not measured but I think now will try measure the soil to see if there is something after 5 years. A couple bushels different I don’t call significant because it could be due to different soil types on a field different rain showers etc. But getting in that 5 to 7 bushel range is 75 to 85 bucks an acre difference. Take it for what it’s worth.Last edited by the big wheel; Mar 5, 2019, 05:16.

Just saw Gabe Brown and Ray Archuleta at a soil health and regenerative ag workshop. Wide range of farmers interested in their ideas about cover crops, soil health and reducing tillage, chemical usage and fertilizer usage. Very impressive what can be done with just a change in management.
As Gabe Brown says he would rather sign the back of the cheque (for deposit) rather than the front of the cheque!
A google search will bring up a lot of their websites and videos.
