Its sarcasm Austranada. I'll carry on what I've been doing for the last thirty plus years instead of changing to what you're promoting and having the farm die a slow unproductive death. It might take alot longer for this farm to fail versus the ones who died trying to live the dream that organic production would rescue them.

It always amazed me how those "good" prices you posted in a different thread NEVER translated into prosperity for the organic producers that tried it here... There was never a sign of prosperity...couldn't even upgrade their machinery and never lived any higher on the hog than their conventional counterparts.

Things are apparently just fine in these parts, there was some irrigated land up for tender and talking to a friend that bid on it they bid over a million a quarter. And didn’t get it!

Due east of Calgary about 100 kms ,5 to 10 kms north of the #1 . Bid was north of a million a quarter based on the farmable land there was a little waste ground .

ANd that is why people are leaving Alberta and buying in Sask.

We have one guy sold a quarter bought three and he is now farming.

His brother will arrive in the next year and sell to and buy 6.

Its what's happening since the area to the north of us is considered very cheap affordable land.
