    Has anyone checked the source.

A 10% yield drop in barley,is maybe possible. To get from that to double the beer price is a big stretch.
    Mind you the Weston's managed
To turn a 10% wheat price rise into 100 % rise in the cost of a loaf of bread
and when they were caught price fixing , nothing happened
    price of bread didn't drop
    sheeple never said boo

      this makes perfect sense though
Trudeau got in by appealing to potheads and basement dwellers
now the global warming crowd in desperation is appealing to the beer bellies

Here's the link to the actual research project - surprising the detail they went into actually. Certainly not a Canadian effort so you can't blame it on Trudeau.

And, like all studies that involve potential negative outcomes of AGW, it comes down to GIGO, garbage in garbage out. No matter how detailed the study may be, it is only as accurate as the AGW forecasts it is based on.

If the price of barley doubled it would be only for 1 year.Cause the second year farmers would over produce it.

World wide consumption was down in the latest figures of 2016. So in order to make up for the lower consumption they raise the prices. That's smart marketing they get their end profit one way ore the other

That's fine the problem I have is that it's made out that costs to produce are up which is us meaning they are charging more for beer because paying us more? Or who s getting more?

This is starting to get really sick listening to all the scare tactics going on. Now beer will be a shortage. But China can make beer out of feed barley and screw us farmers yet that's ok.

Malt won't be in short supply hahaha.

It's malt barley transformed into feed barley when it falls through the magic grate on the driveway...then the magic spout that puts it in the railcar transforms it back into malt quality barley. I wish I had grain augers that could do that!!!!

No complaining now! There was an organization which kept the Maltsters in check when it came to honoring malt contracts. This is how the free market works, which many of you wanted!

The Feed-Malt market is outdoing the local feed market.
Guess where the dry barley is going
