Not sure , very little Durum grown in this area for obvious reasons . Some have had good luck with it but generally grade takes a huge hit here. The past threes years would have been good tho.

1.05 inches rain in the last 44 days. Not supposed to pick up much today but do expect to be shut down this afternoon or early evening

          34% done
          x2 on the specialty canola.

Moisture last 5 out of 6 days. Did a little peas last night, will be stopped for a couple days now. Risk of frost tonight, canola and wet wheat wont need that. Very little harvest done around here.

I m surprised driving through many areas just how much green canola and very little canary seed and whatj is there is grass green. I didnt think was seeded that late did the smoke delay maturity?

Smoke delayed maturity big time in northern areas , that combined with second growth from earlier hot dry weather set the stage for right now.

Canary crops are few and far between and what Ive seen is mostly brutal. But who keeps birds anyway?

Sure dont hear much about the human consumption market these days. Past the gluten free hump?
