This is Friday's email:

Another wave of cold air will pass over the region Tuesday and Wednesday, which will bring the next opportunity for cold weather. Some of the more recent computer forecast models suggested an area of high pressure will accompany this wave of cold air. Frost and light freezes are expected in many Alberta and Saskatchewan locations both mornings with pockets potentially cooling to -3.


I sent him an email but today is church day - so he won't answer until tomorrow.

Satellite imagery at about 11:00 pm.

Looks pretty clear over a large part of Western Canada.

Even when you hit play the imagery shows cloud rotation too far away to become the insulating blanket.

Just outside of Regina at midnight and temperature of 0. Going to be a long freeze.

Not a real strange event to have frost on September 5th, too bad the forest fires robbed the crops of heat though.
