Our one RM issued a fire ban and advised all residents when combining to have a water truck near and some disc hooked to a spare tractor just in case.

Its a good thing just in case it happens.

You see black smoke you panic.

Better keep humming. I just looked at the forecast for Regina and it looks like we have 3 more dry days, then a week of showery or rainy weather.

Harvest just starting up here wheat yields are very good on good land, Shitty on sand. Good year to have clay soils. Lots of green tillers on wheat so its taking forever for those to die. Business as usual with pre harvest spraying in this area. Farmers not paying any attention to the lies and misinformation in the media. Some guys are switching to reglone in canola cause they dont want to wait for roundup to work. Airplane plus reglone = $23 per acre. Seems expensive compared to delayed swathing which works awesome in these new pod shatter varieties.
