Government or farmer owned is fine.
    Go for it.
But if it was government owned the next Harper clone
    Elected would trash it.
    Better stick with farmer owned.

Aren't/weren't most the farmer owned terminals in bed with one of the big boys anyway? A bit of a facade then I'd say...still need their port capacity and international sales teams it seems.

Yes it is a tough game for a small player.

The problem with any venture like this , is that if you get big enough to make a difference, and cut into the big players pie.

Whether it be seed, chemical or grain handling.

With budgets bigger than a lot of country's.
They can and will run you out of business so fast.

They only have to out compete or be nice to customers you till you are out of business.

Then back to same old ripoffs.

The only way the wheat pools survived like they did was because of super committed members ,
That had been burnt really bad by the line Co.s

I do not think farmers will have that kind of commitment today.

        The Richardson's could outbid your
Little company long enough to finish you off.
        Easily

Sad but true. Combined with farmers inability to work together I doubt it's going anywhere.
As the Government gave farmers assets to G3 for free I say they should take them back for free and give them back to farmers. Why should you have to pay for the return of something that was stolen from you?
