Markets heating up this morning like the weather. Is the trade finally waking up and realizing when combines are rolling in July, Houston we have a problem.

Your right , the problem has been staring at everyone for 3 weeks in a very big area here in Western Canada, Europe and Australia . But hey what do we as farmers know ... lol lol

Well it may have , but the rains have kept the forest belt under control since late June

Weird day in our part of the world on and off mist piss and showers.

Really got wet doing hail claims.

Nothing like walking two miles for 9% to 11%

Gotta take them out in a side by side....no walking...an extra 5% damage paid!

It has to hail mode than 10% for my insurance to kick in...lol...what ya think about that wiseguy... This Sandbox farmer is willing to sacrifice the first 10% for a cheaper premium...some of our rates are so low they don't even allow a "straight deductible" option.

Happy Farmer, where is here? Here in west central AB, we have been measuring rains in the hundredths of an inch most of the summer, and we are supposed to be the wettest place on the prairies.

Terribly variable this year - we've had less than an inch since getting that bad hail storm June 14th. Extremely dry here now - grass and trees in bad shape, grasshoppers are awful. Stripped all the alfalfa leaves in some fields.

yesterday , I started spraying peas, to put them out of their misery .
was the humane thing to do . more to do today.
80% of my peas were in the driest area , and poorest dirt.

now move or consolidate my scraps of old peas so crop insurance can count them .

was thinkin later crops would be better,
but that will not happen without a rain

I agree with the later crop report. Our later seeded and hail damaged regrowth canola needs a shower now. Early seeded in all cases except peas was a good idea this year. Canola seeded around the 15th to 20th great.
