Been a funny year here too. Extremely spotty amounts and no real general rain. The area has generally gotten their rains needed, but not all at once. Spotty as heck over many days from one mile to the next. We have had calls for 80%, and got nothing. Usually that is a guaranteed large rain event. What worries me, is the inability to trust even a little bit the forecast for haying reasons. Scared to cut, and then three days out it doesn’t rain, even with the high apparent chance. Then you do cut, and suddenly that 30% chance makes an inch!

Usually they are not this bad....a peoplekind just simply has to get out there and do it I guess?

3.5 since Sunday night and just keeps raining. Water pooling up again and I get so sick of never ending rain.

Total of .75 of an inch over the last 2 days. It will disappear fast if the forecast comes true. Some fields are showing signs of drought.

So jealous! We need an inch so bad as many other poor farmers do too. When it rains, we get 10 inches - then not a drop for a month. That beggar of a Regina Block just breaks the system up when it hits the “pile o bones”. Darnit all! x
