Mallee, South Africa is a long way from the mess Zimbabwe is - not saying it won't go the same way but it's not there yet by a long chalk. It took a long, long time for Zimbabwe to get as bad as it got.

I travelled in South Africa in may of 2016 and last sept I travelled on farms north of jo berg all the way to the northern border against Botswana. I felt very safe on the farms but would be more carful around jo berg.i also spent a week around Cape Town and felt very safe , lots of tourists travelling with kids seemed to be less racial tension.

You guys in canada have quite a influx of south african doctors and nurses.

Fair few here in oz and increasing as fast as they can get accepted through proper channels.

We have a 3 in our regional town, one went back for xmas or the likes, couldnt get "home" quick enough a serious situation that will never get better, be only a small % of whites there in 20 yrs time according to him.
